The Town of Parker Colorado is approximately 30 minutes south/southeast of downtown Denver and 10-15 minutes south of the Denver Tech Center. Parker offers plenty of everyday amenities with easy access to shopping, extensive parks and trails, recreational centers (public and private) and a convenient location to employment centers, light rail, and interstates. Also, the award-winning Douglas County School District serves all of the Parker area, in addition to private and charter schools.
 
The Town of Parker is a historical community founded in 1864 and has maintained its small-town roots since evolving into a thriving suburb of the Parker Days Metro Denver area. Additionally, many residents of Parker honor the town’s rural heritage by preserving its agricultural and equestrian traditions, including one of Colorado’s premier equestrian centers, The Colorado Horse Park. Parker offers year-round activities catering to families, seniors and singles by hosting many festivities and civic events.
 
The first of the year begins on a positive note with Parker’s community wellness program offering fitness assessments, fitness challenges, senior walks and adult/youth athletic programs. As the beautiful Colorado spring season arrives, the community brings the fine arts to town by featuring a variety of small theatric productions in its community theaters and local school productions. In addition, the community throws a variety of celebrations in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. As spring comes to an end, the town of Parker kicks off the summer season with one of its biggest events, Parker Days. This annual festivity offers many family activities including carnival rides, attractions, parades, bounce houses, live bands, and arts & crafts exhibits.
 
During the summer, The Town of Parker hosts a weekly Farmer’s Market with local Colorado farmers selling their fresh produce. Also throughout the summer, it is easy to find something of interest for everyone including youth book clubs, local 5K runs, concerts in the park, art shows, Bike to Work Days, and Barker Days. As the fall season approaches, the community holds Oktoberfest celebrations, Horse & Carriagelocal pumpkin patches, and ongoing music and art festivals. The wintertime is celebrated through a traditional Christmas Carriage Parade and Winter Wonderland Skate Night Festival.
